Cascadia Chronicles: Glossary of Terms

🌺 Anthari

Expressive floral beings with faces shaped by mood, memory, and mystery. The Anthari are thought to bloom in the presence of curiosity and wilt in the face of cruelty. Some say they’re the emotional barometers of Cascadia Prime. Others say they’re just gossiping. I think it’s a bit of both. Introduce yourself here, here, here, here, and here. (Just so you know, I only create Anthari animations now… the still images like these and these have been stolen and passed off as real in dozens of scams, deceiving millions of people. It’s really unfortunate.)

🌲 Cascadia Prime

The first green spark in a long-forgotten quadrant of the universe. This planet’s forests hum, its rivers remember. Said to echo Earth’s Pacific Northwest region, Cascadia Prime is fabled for its sentient flora, improbable weather, and creatures that feel like metaphors. Homeworld of the Floranauts, portals open here — but not always where or when you expect. Meet some of Cascadia Prime’s inhabitants here, here, here, here, and here. Also here, here, here, here, and here… just to start!

🪐 Floranauts

They left Cascadia Prime with no itinerary and no oversight — just a directive to document the universe’s weirdness and wonders. Some catalog lifeforms. Others pursue architectural oddities. Their transmissions back to us remain unexpected, unfiltered, and utterly fascinating. You can check out the Floranauts and some of their discoveries here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

🐾 Fluvial Dragon Cats

Elusive inhabitants of Cascadia Prime’s riverlands, these sleek, serpentine felines are master fishers and quiet geniuses. Said to be part cat, part dragon, part something else entirely, they appear only to those who approach the water with patience and respect. Sightings have been reported here, here, here, here, and here.

🗺 Genii Locorum

In classical tradition, a genius loci is the spirit of a place. In Cascadia Prime, they’re a bit more hands-on, shaped by the geography, architecture, and emotional residue of their neighborhoods. Some prefer jazz clubs and dive bars. Others haunt zoning meetings and scream into traffic. If your local genius loci feels moody, maybe plant a flower or pick up some litter. Get to know a variety of genii locorum here, here, here, here, and here.

🦋 Lepidoptercats

Feline-lepidoptera hybrids with wings too delicate for logic and eyes that track more than movement. Known to vanish mid-purr. Impossible to domesticate, but they might domesticate you. These creatures are abundant on Cascadia Prime, but you can meet a broad selection of them here, here, here, here, here, and here.

🐉 Lycadrakes

These wolf-dragon hybrids guard ancient biogenetic secrets. They harmonize their howls into haunting songs that tap into another plane of existence, causing any nearby humans to hallucinate otherworldly visions for hours. No one knows what they’re singing about… yet. A newly discovered species, the only documented encounters are here and here.

🐒 Marmoposas

Tree-dwelling marmoset-butterflies that glow slightly when they’re dreaming. Surprisingly articulate. Partial to nectar, naps, and mischief. Meet a few here and here.

🧵 Quantari Interlacia

Mysterious, rarely glimpsed beings said to weave the connective tissue of the multiverse. They guard interdimensional thresholds and mend rips in the fabric of reality with a precision that borders on divine. If you see one, it probably means you weren’t supposed to. Meet them here.

🧠 Uncanny Valley

Some say Uncanny Valley found its groove in the '60s and nothing was ever the same. The mushrooms (called Vallecandors) are lucid, the moss has rhythm, and nothing grows in a straight line. It’s all swirling color, layered sound, and a general disregard for linear thought. The vibes are immaculate. Just don’t ask how you got there. Experience Uncanny Valley here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

🍄 Vallecandors

The sentient mushrooms of Uncanny Valley—part philosopher, part trickster, part unknowable mycelial archive. They communicate via bioluminescent pulses, chemical pheromones, and unsettlingly accurate impressions of your inner voice. Always watching. Occasionally judging. (See Uncanny Valley entry above for sightings.)

🌌 Verdeluminaries

Scattered across the galaxy’s quieter corners, the Verdeluminaries tend to luminous gardens that bloom only beneath starlight. Their flora absorb celestial energy, transmuting it into enchantments, elixirs, and the occasional small miracle. No one knows if they grow the light or if the light grows them. Meet them here, here, and here.

🕯 The Waiting Witches

They take to the rooftops, silent and hopeful, awaiting something long-lost and luminous. It’s said that the magic they wait for can only be stirred by the dreams of those who still believe… like you. Cascadia Prime is full of Waiting Witches, including here, here, here, here, and here.
